”Have a Seat” – Mandy Gaines + 2 – AMK 1005 – 2009

This CD was made to show the wide richness of Mandy Gaines' voice by minimizing the accompaniment. The duo here is comprised of Petri Krzywacki on guitar and Mikkola on bass. The challenge was to bring out the different shades of the textures between these two stringed instruments. A rare treat is Gaines' well controlled whistle solo on ”Exactly Like You”. The lineup of this recording was also influenced by the recordings of Sarah Vaughan and Julie London at the end of the 50's.
